April Clark

Sci-Fi & Children Author

April N Clark grew up in the country where her family raised all kinds of animals from cows, horses, and pigs to chickens and ducks. She has a love of country life and exploring and learning through outdoor play and adventure. Even as little girl she loved to write stories of all kinds. When she grew up and married her husband she was introduced to the world of science fiction and fell in love with the imagination and creativity of the genre. In her first book series for children she has married the love of both country life and science fiction together, complimenting some of the best of both worlds. Some of her hobbies include cooking, casual gaming with her kids, knitting extraordinarily average hats and scarves and lurking the aisles of the used bookstore for her next read. She has a passion for science, learning new things, and spending time with her family.

Jane Alvey Harris

Author - Psychological Thrillers

I have a Humanities degree from Brigham Young University with emphases in Art History, Italian Language, and Studio Art. I’m CRAZY about the visual and performing arts! I enjoy playing classical piano, painting & sketching, singing & acting, and especially writing poetry & prose.

But my real passion is PEOPLE. I love to watch and study what makes us tick as human beings. I’m definitely a dreamer, and my favorite thing to do is weave together sublime settings and stories for characters to live and learn in…myself included.

I currently live in an enchanted fairy-princess castle in Dallas, Texas, with my three often-adorable children and their three seldom-adorable cats.

Taylor Dawn

Romance Author

International Bestselling Author Taylor Dawn began writing as an item to check off her bucket list. She resides in the southernmost part of Illinois, right on the mighty Mississippi river. She enjoys the quiet country life with her husband, son and the many farm animals that make up the rest of the family. Deciding that farm life was just a little too mundane, Taylor began writing romance and fantasy to liven things up, so far so good. Before starting her writing career, Taylor entered the field of cosmetology. When she isn’t writing, she can usually be found sitting around a table making people laugh. She has always wanted to be a standup comic. She loves pulling practical jokes, dresses up in a costume every Halloween and believes that dancing is the key to a happy life (even if you aren’t a good dancer). She believes that life shouldn’t be taken too seriously, we will never get out alive anyway. More than anything, she is a kid at heart, she doesn’t believe in bedtimes, eating everything on her plate, or having ice cream only for dessert. Her favorite quote is by Dr. Seuss…”Why fit in, when you were born to stand out.”

Andreea Pryde

Romance Author

I was born in 1991, in Bucharest, Romania.
Yes, that Romania where Dracula lives. Even as a young child I was always conjuring up stories and filling them with colorful characters, sharing them with anyone and everyone who would listen. Since then, I’ve progressed quite a bit to formulating longer and more complex stories and sharing them with much larger audiences.

Angel Ramon

Angel Ramon is an author of Survival Horror GameLit and enjoys scaring the hell out of his readers while providing a roller coaster ride. He likes to plunge his readers into reads that make them feel like they’re in a video game! Zombies are only the beginning for this Amazon Bestseller for Horror Short stories. Nobody knows who this Angel Ramon is, but he is sure to scare you to the point where you’re better off never meeting him in real life.

He’s starting a new series involving dinosaurs, dungeons, swordplay and one heck of a story that will bring humans and dinosaurs to live in perfect harmony. I guess he never revealed that he loves dinosaurs as well. His favorite dinosaur is the pterodactyl as he always dreamed of flying on a dinosaur while wearing chain mail besides hunting zombies.

D.K. Marley

Historical Fiction Author & Blogger

DK Marley is a historical fiction writer specializing in Shakespearean themes. Her grandmother, an English professor, gave her a volume of Shakespeare’s plays when she was eleven, inspiring DK to delve further into the rich Elizabethan language. Eleven years ago she began the research leading to the publication of her first novel “Blood and Ink,” an epic tale of lost dreams, spurned love, jealousy and deception in Tudor England as the two men, William Shakespeare and Kit Marlowe, fight for one name and the famous works now known as the Shakespeare Folio.
She is a true Stratfordian (despite the topic of her novel “Blood and Ink”), a Marlowe fan, a member of the Marlowe Society, the Shakespeare Fellowship and a signer of the Declaration of Intent for the Shakespeare Authorship Debate. Her new series titled “The Fractured Shakespeare Series” will tackle adapting each play into a historical fiction novel. She has traveled to England three times for intensive research and debate workshops and is a graduate of the intense training workshop “The Writer’s Retreat Workshop” founded by Gary Provost and hosted by Jason Sitzes. She is also a blogger for her blog “The Jabberwocky Blog” on WordPress. She lives in Georgia with her husband and a Scottish Terrier named Maggie.

Dacia Arnold

Dystopian & Dark Fiction

Dacia M Arnold is an author of adult dystopian and dark fiction. She enjoys writing main characters who are otherwise normal people with extraordinary abilities.

To say Dacia is an author and a mother would only be scratching the surface. She is an avid karaoke singer, master crafter and a thrift-ster. She is also a ten-year Army veteran and served two tours of combat as a medic.

From a young age, her imagination lent itself to short stories and poems. Like most girls, her father is her hero. Dacia moved every three years since she was born, as with most military families,  which allowed her to reinvent herself with new friends. Later in life, she followed her father’s boot prints by joining the military. Dacia spent fifteen months working in Baghdad Emergency room. There she lay witness to both horrors and miracles.

While she was away for her second deployment, Dacia lost her best friend to domestic violence. After her friend’s passing, Dacia served as a victim advocate until her time in the military ended. Now, to help others, she speaks out often in social media platforms to encourage victims of their own strength and informs them of options to get help.

Dacia blogs about being a writer, a mom of two and the struggles therein. She sometimes incorporates life with her railroad conductor husband in Denver, Colorado and a few diy projects. When in rare form, she will share stories about her time in the military, her medical experiences, short fiction stories, and very rarely a poem.

Dacia’s first full length novel incorporates almost every aspect of her life. APPARENT POWER is an award-winning story following a mother on a journey to find her son before a rising, post-apocalyptic government does. The main character will stop at nothing to ensure her son’s safety. Apparent Power is due to be released by Immortal Works Press on December 11th, 2018.

SHIFTING POWER, the sequel, is in the works to be released in the fall of 2019.

Erin Crocker

Erin, who is currently writing this in third person while scarfing down a tub of gas station nachos, was born in Kansas City, Mo. (At least that’s what they told me…) and later moved to the small town of El Dorado Springs (That’s El Do-RAY-Do), Mo. where she spent most of her life.

In 2007 she moved to Fredericksburg, Va (There’s a story there, right?) and graduated from Germanna Community College with honors. If that wasn’t enough… she decided to enroll in courses at Mary Washington University and earned a Bachelor’s in English, Linguistics, and Communications (but only by a hair because she thought it’d be a good idea to enroll in French her last semester just to learn that while it may be true French and Spanish are both considered romance languages, they are in no way similar) In 2015.

From there, she published her first novel “Synchronicity” and only lost a small portion of hair from stress. In 2017, she published the sequel, “Menoetius”. Who knows what 2018 might bring?!

On a serious note, Erin’s writing has placed in a variety of competitions including second place in the Sudden Denouement Divergent Literature Competition and the CN International Flash Fiction Competition, and most recently, her piece “Final Battle” placed first in her heat in round one of the 2018 NYC Midnight Short Story Competition.

In 2017, Erin was invited to sit on not only the Horror/Sci-Fi/Fantasy writer’s panel at the Fredericksburg Independent Book Festival, she also sat on the YA panel. In February 2018, she joined the judging panel for the CN International Pens of Roses Flash Fiction Competition.

Erin is also the founder of When She Walked Away. A small, but steadily growing community that places direct emphasis on providing encouragement, information, and support to women and children who have experienced or are experiencing domestic violence.

J. I. Rogers is green-eyed, ginger-haired, caffeine addict who is currently working on ‘The 942 Series’ of science fiction novels.

Joanne Van Leerdam

Poet. Blogger. Writer. Thinker.

Joanne is a poet, blogger, writer, thinker, puzzler, teacher, traveler, photographer and generally nice person.

She drinks far too much coffee but is highly dependent on the caffeine for successful navigation of that part of each day that occurs before lunchtime, so she’s not giving it up anytime soon.

Despite having lived all her life in Australia, she has, thus, far, avoided being killed or maimed by any of the deadly wildlife, which is probably a good thing. Furthermore, she does not surf, live at the beach, or have a pet kangaroo.

Other than Australia, Canada is her favorite place in the world. She’s proud to have been adopted as an honorary Canadian.

In addition to writing powerful, thought-provoking poetry, short-but-incredibly meaningful stories, and some creepy, macabre horror, she teaches senior high school English, History and Drama/Production. She is an active member and performer in her local theatre company.

Joanne’s poetry is contemporary, moody, sometimes sensual and always easy to read – and it will get you in the feelings. One reviewer put her on the “shelf of legends” with Ginsberg and Whitman, calling Nova “A beautiful ride through a beautiful mind”.

K.L Shandwick

Contemporary romance, new adult, and romantic suspense.

Writing came relatively later in life for me after a challenge by a friend led to The Everything Trilogy. Little did I know then this would lead to my attending international author signings all over the world. I love creating new characters and story lines for my readers. My characters are complex, given their circumstances and have flaws which I hope helps the connection between them and my readers. I am a total pantster in writing.

PJ Mann

Fiction Writer

Paula J. Mann was born in a small town in Italy in 1973. She graduated from the Art Institute of Perugia (Italy), but continued her educational path at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, and graduated in Geosciences at the University of Perugia. Not seeing any great career chances she moved to Germany, where she enrolled in the Faculty of Geosciences in Tübingen and graduated in Applied Environmental Geosciences. Her wanderings were not yet over, and soon after the graduation, she moved to Finland where she started a career in engineering geologist. During her career, she edited and wrote several scientific papers, but she could not forget her artistic background, so she started to write novels. None of those was meant to be published, until one day, encouraged by one of her best friends, she decided to share her stories with the rest of the world. She doesn’t like a particular genre, and the best way to describe her production is, perhaps “fiction, drama”. She likes to tell stories about what she observes around her. She loves traveling and photography, and from those experiences, she gets the most of her inspirations.

From there she developed a passion for science fiction, fantasy, adventure and a love of books and films.
